   Start with A4 paper in portrait orientation.

   Fold in half widthwise (bottom to top). Crease firmly.

   Fold the bottom edge (the folded edge) up about 6cm to create a deep pocket at the bottom.

   Fold the top edge (the open edges) down about 3cm. This creates the closure flap.

   Fold the left edge inward about 1.5cm. Fold the right edge inward about 1.5cm. These narrow the folder and create side reinforcements.

   Tuck the side folds into the pocket to secure the edges.

   The top flap folds down over the pocket opening to close the folder.
