Step-by-Step Instructions
- 1
Start with a square sheet of paper. Perform a valley fold diagonally from one corner to the opposite corner, aligning the edges precisely, to form a large triangle. Crease firmly.
- 2
Take the right corner of the triangle and fold it inward, aligning the top edge of this folded section parallel to the bottom edge of the main triangle. Crease firmly.
- 3
Repeat the previous step with the left corner of the triangle, folding it inward and overlapping the previously folded right section. Crease firmly.
- 4
You will now address the two upper flaps. These can be folded down simultaneously or individually. Fold the first upper flap down along the top edge of the cup, aligning it with the indicated dashed line.
- 5
This fold serves as a guideline. After folding the first flap down to create a crease, immediately unfold it back to its original upward position.
- 6
The model should now resemble the accompanying image, with the first flap unfolded back up.
- 7
Take the first (left) upper flap and tuck it securely into the front pocket formed by the layers of paper, ensuring it is fully inserted.
- 8
Take the remaining (right) upper flap and fold it down, then tuck it into the large opening of the cup, similar to how the first flap was tucked. This completes the cup's structure.
- 9
Your paper cup is now complete. Gently open the cup to give it volume.
